The New Stadium will be kept at a consistent 75 degrees with the roof closed.

That is all, and thank you for wasting your time.

That's rather warm bub.I was hoping more of 69-71 degrees. That temperature will most likely be changed.

75 is about what I keep my house at. It's comfortable. Never could understand why folks keep their house so cold they have to dress up warm and/or use a blanket to keep warm just to watch TV.

same here i keep my at 75 too it cool in house

With all the body heat and people together, that 75 degrees will need to be lowered.

I took it to mean that the stadium temperature will be kept at 75, taking into account the body heat and everything. The A/C thermostat won't necessarily be at 75, but the actual temperature will be.

I think. Don't take my word for it, though.

Idc how much body heat there is, it's still better than 95 and humid

Don't complain. It hasn't been 75 where I live since September.

Can I switch with you, lol.

I'd love to be in sub zero temps freezing!

Exactly. You can bet that if you go into some of the closed in areas you will be wishing you had a sweater or something. Of course many of those will be having seperate thermostats and set accordingly.

Seriously. Congrats on being the first person to complain about not having to watch games in 90 degree heat.

Kind of an unrelated-related thing here. During the radio broadcast of yesterday's game the announcers were saying how folks were complaining about the two new ball parks in NYC. Concentrating on all the bad things they percieved (ticket prices excluded) and blanking out on all the good things. Saying they couldn't wait to get there Monday for this series so they could draw their own conclusions.

Rather sad commentary on human nature right now, IMO.

Obviously they say 75 as a "green" thing. AC requires energy.

I can live with 75?. At least it's not the unbearable, sticky mid-August at 1PM, body-draining, no-shade scorcher, with the only "relief" coming from a hurricane hundreds of miles offshore, that none but a few hardy souls would have dared to be in. :sweating

If 75 is warm then you must be from the north :)

heyyy!!!! im fromt he north :confused

if 40 degrees is cold you must be from the south!

According to the West Midlands Public Health Observatory, 69.8 F is the recommended living room temperature. 30 F degrees below that makes 40 F cold.

And where are they based?? LOL

If I had my thermostat set at 69.8 F I would have to crank up the heater on my bed, break out the thermal underware and heavy socks, and most likely break out in a heavy sweat just looking outside.

And to sdonke.... 40 is cold. I don't care where you are from. If it wasn't you would see bikini clad women running around their trailors in North Dakota in March. Can't say I have ever seen that on the Today show.

Not exactly true. But close. I find relief after walking up the steps and standing in the tunnel. Such a nice, cool breeze right there.

They keyword is humidity. 75? will feel just fine without it.

I keep my thermostat at 65 in the winter. That's as warm as it gets in in my house. Heating oil is expensive. Wear a sweater I tell my kids. I do see people break out the shorts in the spring as soon as the thermometer hits the 40s and the sun is out but I think they're nuts.

I thought from looking at the renderings that the stadium will be partially open to the outside even with the roof on. I would prefer natural air circulation but having the shade from the roof if its real hot out.

I don't see how 75 degrees, indoors with thousands of people together is cool. The only way that's near cool is if there is wind cooling.

  • 2 weeks later...

when I used to live in florida, I would set the a/c to 71 F

I was a the trop once when the marlins were there, it was a nice temp in there. Abit warmer on the upper deck of course, so we moved to the first level.

75 degrees would be 10-15 degrees cooler than the usual temperature there. 7o would be better though.
