5/4 Postgame

Featured Replies

needed that one.

Great job by all the pitchers today. JJ with a nice outing, he was on cruise control for most of the game. No walks. Couldn't quite get through the 8th but the bullpen was terrific. Badenhop with 3 innings gets the win, terrific work by the Hopper.

Losing streak over. :thumbup

I heard Forte mention in the postgame that Hanley may have been injured on the slide trying to break up that last play of the game. Will update if I hear anything. Hopefully it's nothing because it looks like Cantu may have aggravated the hand injury again too.

glad to get the win, but the question is, at what cost? We lost Cantu, and may have lost Hanley.

Hopper was great, and very good team effort today. Love it when perserverance breaks through.

Hopefully its nothing too serious with either players.

Player of the game I'm giving to Badenhop. He pitched 3 great innings for us that kept us in the game. Hanley and JJ also had great games.

We do not need Cantu and Hanley going down for any stretch of time. Ugh!

Hopper pitched well. JJ had like 68 pitches through 6 innings. Kind of a speed bump for him though after that.

Let's see how this win looks like in the light of tomorrow morning.

Continuing from the other thread: There were no outs so it wouldn't have mattered if Hanley was called out. Unless there's a dead ball sub-rule. Then Paulino would've had to go back to 3rd I guess.

What happens if all your players(PH's and pitchers) have been used and someone gets injured? Forfeit? The other team gets to choose a player to replace the injured player?

Exactly, there was nothing to lose (game wise). At worse, Cantu gets called out on runner interference, which he would have been out anyways without the interference.

BTW, it's worth mentioning that Hanley was part of every scoring play, the HR in the 1st, hustling in on the bloop single in the 6th, and taking out Janish to break up the double play in the 14th.

Also saved at least 1 run, maybe 2, in the top of the 8th with springing catch of the liner.

Doesn't anybody know the answer to this? Noone else was curious either?
