He's probably had more quality starts this season than anybody on this rotation other than JJ. Learn the difference between an inconsistant pitcher and a struggling pitcher.

But last year he was just great especially for a rookie.

And he seemed to have much better control with his pitches last season which includes spotting.

hes had about 6 bad starts in 19 starts. wouldnt quite say thats great. bonifacio also had a good april does that mean hes good?

Well, the pitcher's due up after him. I didn't really think he'd get anything to hit seeing as there were two outs. I wouldn't have been surprised with a single. I don't know, I just wasn't expecting to score this inning with two outs.

He's had 11 quality starts this season, so basically every other start he has been a good pitcher, with him having a bad middle of the season. I'd like to add that his stats are extremely skewed because of his back to back bad starts against St Louis and Boston. He probably has a upper 3 ERA without those two starts under his belt.

He had that cold streak for a while and it seemed he hadn't been hitting but he has been solid quietly with the lack of runs scored.
