July 31, 200917 yr Fought hard, were lucky just to be in that game in the end. Winning the series was enough for me. However, we had a chance with Hermida with the bases loaded, and he strikes out. We had a chance with Brett Carroll with men on 1st and 2nd and 1 out, and he hits into a DP. We had our chances, just pissed them all down the toilet. Hopefully we knock the Cubs off their hot ways.

I wouldn't like that move at all but we do need a LOOGY to face guys like Howard, Utley, Ibanez, Dunn, Johnson, McClouth, McCann, Anderson etc. I really want to do that Thompson for Johnson trade and just move Cantu to 3rd, Johnson at 1st and Boni in the utility role.

That home run was the first runs that Ayala has given up as a Marlin, Uggla delivered a hit that led to that rally that scored the game tying run, and Pinto has given up a total of 2 ER since July 3rd. Only players that have really been detrimental to this team are Boni and Hermi.

I'd be fine if we just got Johnson but I'm praying for one of either Duke or Maholm from Pittsburgh as well.
July 31, 200917 yr Fredi is a joke. I can't believe he left Ayala in for so long after the Braves scalped him. It reminded me of the outing of Lindstrom where he gave up a 7 spot and inflated his e.r.a to the point of almost no recovery. Fredi made some stupid moves towards the end of the game. If we can get Johnson it would be huge since we could keep Bonifacio on the bench and if Maybin can come back strong in his recall then trading Hermida for a LOOGY would help us against the good lefty bats in the NL East.
