Ayala's days as a Marlin might be coming to an end soon.

Lindy is scheduled to make one more outing in the minors and could be up by as early as Saturday but most likely Sunday.

Because I'm bored:

Coghlan LF

Baker C

Ramirez SS

Gonzalez 1B

Cantu 3B

Teahen RF

Uggla 2B

Ross CF

Pitcher

Rotation:

Johnson

Nolasco

Washburn

Vostad

VandenHurk

Bullpen:

Badenhop

Rhodes

Lindstrom

Meyer

Calero

Nunez

Donnelly

Bell

Bench:

Gload

Helms

Paulino

Sanchez

Now if you would all excuse, I must go on a date with Kim Kardashian

and Princess Peach on a magical Pony to Neverland.

Lindstrom pitched tonight for AA Jacksonville.

He went one inning and gave up 2 hits and 2 Earned runs to get the loss.

So I'm guessing he'll pitch one more time in Jacksonville, most likely on Saturday, before getting called up.

Yes, because a great way to show that you belong on the major league team is to give up 2 ER in a AA outing.

Sure we might as well just give away 1/2 of out farm system to try to just get to the playoffs this season.

If you're Emilio Bonifacio or Matt Lindstrom, pitiful performances don't matter as much.

I personally don't want him to be called up until he gets pitches a solid 6 or 7 outings.

On the bright side in his 4 Inning he has yet to walk a batter.

The AID's of the team:

Hermida

Bonifacio

I want them removed.

Yet we all know it's impossible to remove AID's.

It's not impossible. The key to removing AIDS lies with Magic Johnson.

Stay classy kids.

At least TheGuy's actually a kid.

Well according to south park the cure for AIDS lies in money injected directly to your blood stream.

This loss would be much easier to take if Halladay or Adrian and Bell were coming here. I'd be happy with just Adrian.

Seriously guys. Don't get your hopes on Bell/Gonzalez. Just a fair warning.

Ayala's days as a Marlin might be coming to an end soon.

Really?

One bad outing?

If I recall, Ayala was called "An Improvement" to this bullpen when we got him, and he's done alright, save tonight.

Lindstrom's coming back, and the Marlins want him on the big team.

I'm not saying he's horrible, but after this performance (and even the other big spot in LA...bad luck, but still bad result)...it pretty much makes Ayala the odd man out.

Not to mention the Marlins are rumored to be interested in relief help, as well.

You can only have so many relievers on the team.

If not Ayala, who?

Seriously guys. Don't get your hopes on Bell/Gonzalez. Just a fair warning.

This.

But there's a solid chance that we can get Johnson.

They said they wanted Tucker or Thompson or possibly both.

I'd like to send them Gaby Sanchez or Bonifacio(More so Gaby)along with Thompson since one of them will be losing playing time with Johnson on the team and it would possibly sweeten the deal for the Nats.

Since this IS the post-game thread... I just wanted to add one last thing that I'm surprised we haven't completely gone overboard about...

This game, in the negative sense, completely showed how useless both Bonifacio and Hermida are... lets just hope that forces Admin and Mike to make a good offensive-minded trade tomorrow...

Yeah Ayala gets the loss... but I felt like both Hermi and Boni blew this thing at the plate on multiple occasions. Just sayin...

Lindstrom was not sharp tonight for Jax, My guess would be Sanches sent down before Ayala or for the lack of use they may send Gaby down to make room for Lindstrom.

I just got home so I'm a little late on this but.... Hermida and Boniacio are absolutely detrimental to this team. They fail in big spot after big spot and for me who has a ridiculous amount of patience to get to this point says alot. They can't both be in the lineup on a regular basis and expect to win. Also Fredi makes questionable decisions on a nightly basis and made quite a bit of them today. Just garbage decision making by the FO and the manager this year on a whole.

More Bonifacio then Hermida since Bonifacio had runners on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out, all you have to do is really make contact or hit a fly ball with B.C. running at 3rd. Hermida had the bases loaded with 2 outs and Gonzalez is a nightmare to Left Handed Batters.

Also in the 9th after Uggla's leadoff Single, Cody was told to(?) and failed to bunt Uggla over to 2nd. Then after an error on a Paulino grounder that is a sure Double Play, B.C. takes a terrible swing on a 3-1 pitch inside and grounds into the inning ending DP with men on 1st and 2nd.

Not a great game offensivley for Hanley either as he went 0 for 4 but RVH was solid allowing only 2 runs and besides the leadoff walk that scored off Kiko on Mclouth's Bloop single the Bullpen was phenomenal until Ayala's 10th inning which I belive was a terrible choice to put him in against 4 Lefties and a switch hitter.

Ayala appears to have good stuff and nice movement. But he hasn't performed well in the two "tied game in late innings" appearances.

Sucks because it was a good comeback to tie the game.

Cody failed at moving the runner over. Which I think would have changed the inning.

Plus Hermida watching the first two strikes go by, and then swinging at ball one (that was a horrible pitch) to end the bases loaded inning.

He struck out on a 1-2 count and Bonifacio K'd on a 3-2 count on a fastball right over the plate with 1 Out men on 2nd and 3rd.

Ok, so he looked at strike one and two, then swung at ball two. At least the horrible Bonifacio worked the count a little bit before swinging and missing on a strike.

I know you probably haven't seen me say this yet but I'll say it again.

Gonzalez is a major pain in the ass vs Left Handed Batters as they have only hit .210 off him which is why they pinch hit Helms for Coghlan and Bonifacio batting righty had a great chance to drive in a run in that situation working the count or not.

That pitch also looked a little high but it was a very good pitch to hit.
