One inning analyst switch

I'm sure Bob has played so many that he knows how poor a job they do reflecting reality. Lol. Ever notice how gamecast destroys almost every ESPN expert on picking NFL games each year?

Ok thanks.

Since its my fault this thread went off topic. I'll try to get it back on. Was the other guy as good as Tommy?

It all depends on whether or not you like Tommy.

It was good to hear for me, personally. The guy gave some information about the Reds, talked about how Maybin played ball in Cincinnati. He also said he was pretty impressed with VandenHurk...he likes tall guys that can throw downward. Then he and Rich got into a conversation of how/why VandenHurk no longer throws his Holland Hammer (or at least...doesn't throw it nearly as much).

It was cool.

Ok thanks.

I liked him. Seemed knowledgable and honest. Bout all you can expect for a one inning switch.

Thank you for giving my point more substance.

But, back to the original topic.

No, thank me for exposing how you have absolutely no idea about a topic on which you are purporting to have significant knowledge.

Not to mention that you first referenced video games in your mini-convo with Rab on page 1. So don't come back with your obnoxious comment of "But, back to the original topic", as if it were all the 'kids' who started talking about video games.

??? One only has to view posts on any sports board to see what I am talking about. I have never "purported to have significant knowledge" on video games. Mainly because I don't play them, instead prefer to actually get out of the house and do things. What I am saying, and what you are so plainly skirting, is the fact young people have more of a tendancy to think because something is done on a sports video game that life should reflect that.

If you can't see what was so plainly written then I would think you need to spend less time playing them and more time with your studies.

But you do what you want. Play on.

Actually, it is what I was going for. We were talking about announcers and his name came up. He was an entertaining announcer with tons of real life knowledge about the game. I could care in the least what his video game persona is. Some folks seem to have a real hard time differentiating between the two for all sports. Real life does not mirror video games. Video games attempt to mirror real life, and not so succesfully. For obvious reasons.

Video games may be one of the worst products my generation has passed along to the younger generation. But that's another discussion and forum entirely.

See? In one post, you admit you don't play video games and try to say that you've never said you know a lot about them. But yet in your other post, you make a bold claim about videogames, one that many would dispute.

And nice educational dig :lol

I've already completed a Bachelor's Degree from a Top 50 school, and going to Law School next year, and have an SAT score, and doubtless several others, which would mop the floor with yours. But who cares? This is a Marlins message board, and your digs on people's intelligence are extremely out-of-place and childish.
