Jimenez is fighting for his (major league) life, Gaby can always go back to AAA. JJ2 was never going to wear a Red Sox uni, didn't fit the mold, so it's either win a job here or back to Maine and McDonalds for the summer.

Personally I suspect Cantu is more hurt than they are letting on and he'll wind up at first base for reasons of mobility, creating an opening at third.

I believe the front office has said is a competition at 1B just to make ST less stressful for Gaby and the real competition is between Gaby and Jimenez. Logan could make his debut mid season or definitely a lock next season.

Bit of wildness for about 5 pitches, catcher came out and settled him down a little. The run that came in came as a direct result of an error, so I don't think he was charged with any runs, just a walk and a single.
