In Pittsburgh. He was claimed off waivers

Thank God it's not here. Our pen is already going to be awful enough. He can join the stable of other failed prospects in Pittsburgh, where 6.00 ERAs are OK.

See my post in "3/29 Moves" regarding dealing with Pittsburgh on Penn and some old names that might come into play.

Good riddance. The Marlins gave him a legitimate chance to succeed. With West and Miller struggling so terribly spots in the rotation were open. All he had to do was pitch reasonably well.

Thank God he's gone.

With Penn Pittsburgh virtually assured of another losing season :thumbup

Now if they'll give us back Raynor I'll be happy

Well there goes that.

And with that, we officially gave up Robert Andino for nothing. How stupid. :D

I know you are joking but it's worth bringing up Andino's spring training numbers:

.227/.239/.409 in 44 ABs (10 for 44 with 1 BB).

Brian Roberts has been battling back problems recently so there is a chance Andino might get some playing time this April.

I'm surprised they haven't found a better utility guy. They have Wigginton but they probably want someone with tools filling the role.

They do have Izturies but he is even worse (.119/.140/.143 this spring in 42 ABs). They need a utility infielder badly.

Brian Barden and Kyle Skipworth for Matt Wieters?

The only thing is, then Luna becomes our 25th man, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that.
