The Kevin Kolb era has now begun. Note to Kevin Kolb, buy yourself a house in a gated community.

No WTF. damn it.....i hope the fans realize how important donovan was to the team. idiots.

And the Eagles only got a second rounder(37th overall) and a 3rd or a 4th in 2011 depending on performance. Wow, why would u trade a great QB for that? And to a division rival?

because they're effin idiots. i'm pissed

No benefits more from this trade than Campbell, imo.

I think this is a good return for McNabb. He's a very good QB and seems like a great guy, but he is aging, has only 1 year left on his contract, and will make a lot of money this year.

Obviously, they feel like Kolb is ready. This is a very early 2nd round pick plus a 3/4. That's probably an equivalent return to a pick in the 20s, which is rare in a trade. Even Denver has backed off of their demands for a 1st-rounder for Brandon Marshall, who is just 26.

The only thing I don't like is that he went to a division rival, but I think it's not a bad move at all.

Miller - actually, I think the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills benefit the most here. Now it looks like Claussen will at least fall to Cleveland, and may even drop to Buffalo. If the Bills can grab him without having to trade up, that's a HUGE win (which sucks for the Jets and Dolphins fans on this board).

Are we assuming Bradford to the Rams?

As a Skins fan, I'm pretty excited! I think McNabb has a lot more in the tank than Brunell did when we signed him. The pundits have been saying that McNabb has been catching a lot of heat unfairly, when really the Eagles should have been giving him more weapons all along. Well, the Skins are not short on receiving threats, that's for sure. I see Washington drafting a tackle with their high pick, and that would be a smart move.

You are assuming Claussen will be good.

Yeah....??

Most of what I've read from the draft pundits I actually respect says that Claussen is the better prospect than Bradford and is less of an (re)injury risk.

I was talking about between the Eagles and Redskins.

Fair enough. Lol @ your comment btw.

Dodge - [Just about] Every mock I've seen has SB to the Rams #1.

The Redskins really made out here. Campbell is just not an NFL starter. I think McNabb has at least 3-4 more real good years left. I am surprised the Eagles would get rid of him considering he takes them to the playoffs basically every year.

Why oh why would a team send their QB to a divisional rival? That I cannot understand.

The only reliable weapon McNabb has in DC is Cooley although Moss can be good on occasions.

kolb better be the next aaron rodgers or this is the stupidest move in the history of sports

I believe the Eagles have 11 draft picks this year so they'll be active on draft day.

The playoffs, but not the Super Bowl. And he isn't as good as he used to be.

This is a ridiculous overreaction. Take a deep breath. They are still better than the Redskins, and they acquired decent draft picks. The 37th pick is valuable.

That would seem likely, yes. They are not a team with tremendous holes all over the roster, so they could trade up if they see some opportunities to grab guys who they have a high grade on. This is also considered to be a very deep draft, so having that many picks is really an excellent thing. If they draft well and Kolb performs up to their expectations, they could be very dangerous next year.

Wrong on so many levels. Campbell, IMO, is vastly underrated. I don't understand why he is hated on so much.

Moss, Cooley, Davis, and Thomas. He has some pretty good weapons, not just one.

Maybe saying that he isnt an starter is a stretch. He certainly isn't a top tier QB. I'd take 20 other guys over him.

Agreed.

McNabb is the most under-appreciated athlete in the history of sports by his home town fans. Sure YA Tittle got booed when he ended his career in New York, but McNabb never got a fair chance from the people of Philadelphia. He gave everything to those fans and what do they give him back? A serious lack of confidence and boos all too often. I hope the city of DC appreciates him, because in my book McNabb is a hall-of-famer, no question. The case of Donovan McNabb really makes me really hate Philly fans.

I see Mcnabb as a HOFer, too.

I have to agree. I know that us Skins fans are VERY excited to have him, and we will give him a fair shake for sure. Plus, we prefer to blame coaches and owners before we go after players. :shifty

A substantial step down from the likes of Jackson, Maclin, Celek and co in my opinion.
