I'm just saying who would we put to leadoff. Don't move Hanley, Cantu or Uggla as there all doing great in there spots right now. Gaby is a great 2 hitter so you put him there. Would you do the unordinary and Leadoff Baker or Paulino? Or put them in the 2 hole and leadoff Gaby?

I just don't see any off those guys besides either Cody, Coghlan or Maybin leading off.

They could but they really don't in this day and age. The last catcher I can remeber that leadoff was Jason Kendall for a few games.

 

I'd have no problem leading off Baker vs RHP since he's had a solid OBP throughout his career and works the count pretty well. Paulino is really not a guy I would want to leadoff because he's more of a run producer then a run scorer with his super speed out there.

Right now I'd like to see Cody leading off as he's found a groove out there the past week and a half.

This is probably JJ's last inning. Bullpen is too rested to not give them some action tonight. Plus the offday tomorrow.

Its actually only 98. So I guess he could go another one if needed. I thought it was higher considering it was 56 after the first 3 innings but he has really calmed down and only walked 1 since then.

J.J.'s PC is at 98.

Yep its bad when your normal 1-2 Hitter have 2 of the worst OBP's in the starting Lineup. (Coghlan worst followed by Cody then Maybin)

Yeah, Id sacrifice speed for contact right now, just get guys on base for Hanley Cantu and Uggla... as a conversation piece, does Beinfest consider looking into trades by July for a legit lead-off guy and what do you do with Maybin, the guy flails at too many pitches right now and I doubt Presley will fix him
