I watched him take that called third strike in his first at bat and if you remember he literally took a second or two to capture a mental picture of where it went over the plate, as if to say, "fool me once...".

 

Not the same pitch, but you have to be impressed by how studious he is, taking nothing for granted, and making every at bat a learning experience.

He's gonna have some learning / growing pains but man, I am really impressed with him so far

I read scouting reports about Big Worm while he was in the minors and they always said he has speed to steal bases but he doesn't attempt too often. I have to say, I never really believed them but now every time I see Stanton run there is no dought he can.
