MrMarlinPride
5:09pm: The deal is done and Berkman has approved it, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. I wonder who the Yankees gave up for him? Either way adding Berkman as a DH makes their lineup even better then it already was....

With Cervelli starting so much at C and Posada still having a solid year with the bat, I wonder if there's any thought of running Big Puma out in LF with Gardner swinging into CF. Granderson isn't tearing it up and it was said the Yanks were looking for an OFer previously. Still waiting to see what my Stros got out of it though. Schnellders
Are the Astros going to hang on to Carlos Lee or will they trade him for prospects and continue the rebuilding process?
dim
It's being said this is going to be basically a salary dump. All Yankees are going to give up is a mediocre prospect (probably 1 or 2 C+ specs) and take on all of the remaining cash on Berkman's $14 million contract (also being said that the Yankees won't pick up 2011 option). Erick
The Astros are absolutely horrible.
h2r09
with berkman the yankees lineup alone is now making 126,675,000 alone including berkman without any of the minimum salary players.
MrMarlinPride
Wow if it's just for the C Prospects and taking on salary that's a steal for the Yankees. While the stros are at it might as well try to deal El Caballo Carlos Lee somewhere like the White Soxs or a team in need of a DH or OF bat. dom2613
Just can't wait till the Marlins make there big trade. The FO must have something big in the works since it's taking so long. I bet were gonna get some one like Zack Greinke. Yup I bet that's who it is.
Rabbethan
God. Can they run that franchise any worse? What a horrible trade.
