September 10, 201015 yr Also, it's worth mentioning, because Major League Baseball and the Nationals suck, Nyjer Morgan will be playing today.

September 10, 201015 yr To have Nyjer Morgan playing against Florida again this series seems absolutely stupid. Why is MLB/Player's Association allowing this? Why must they drag their feet through everything? To be unbiased, having Florida's suspended players start their suspensions tonight also seems like a good idea.

They heard his appeal today but the final ruling hasn't come down. There's nothing wrong with him playing. Volstad is pitching Sunday and there's nothing wrong with that either.
September 10, 201015 yr Oh this will be a fun fun series...seriously, I doubt anything will happen but if Nyjer Morgan just happens to accidentally get hit by a pitch, I wonder what would happen..
September 10, 201015 yr I hope Morgan gets hit, again. We can't afford the suspensions. The season's over.
September 10, 201015 yr I hope Morgan gets hit, again. We can't afford the suspensions. The season's over. But we don't have anyone to call up to replace anyone else and it's a stupid reason to waste options.

But we don't have anyone to call up to replace anyone else and it's a stupid reason to waste options. Let a guy like Leroux hit him with his 95+ mph flat fastball, and recall Hatcher the Catcher! Or better yet...let Jorge Sosa hit him; Sosa has to be good for something...
September 10, 201015 yr I hope Morgan gets hit, again. We can't afford the suspensions. Let's say Morgan gets hit by a pitch accidentally (purely accidentally mind you) and he rushes the mound *again*..I say whatever happens should not be held against the Marlins. This would be all MLB's fault! Morgan should NOT be in this game or this series. He should be suspended. The Marlins are doing the right thing, they are serving their suspensions accordingly. The fact that Morgan hasn't yet is ridiculous. You can make excuses for a lot of things, but the fact is..this guy threw baseballs at fans in the crowd! There's no reason he should be able to appeal something like that in the first place. So whatever happens, it's MLB's fault and the fault that the nationals are letting him play

September 11, 201015 yr You sure Sosa could hit him? I don't think he could if he were 10 feet away from him. This man makes points.

But we don't have anyone to call up to replace anyone else and it's a stupid reason to waste options. The reasons go far deeper than that for not pulling an immature, idiotic stunt like that. The fans and the Marlins need to show some class, put this event in the past, and let Morgan and the Nats show their stuff. Gaby should be overjoyed he only got a 3 game suspension. The consequences of what could happen should Morgan be running down the 1B line or standing on 1B are unacceptable. The past few weeks Morgan hasn't shown too much in baseball smarts. Gaby hasn't exactly been tearing the cover off the ball recently, so a little R&R while escaping a potential volatile situation may be beneficial. AAA guys have been sent home. At least I know Korpi is eating home cookin, so I would assume the rest are too. AA started their playoffs. Playoff experience is good at any level. Need I really go on?
September 13, 201015 yr Well, Gaby's off suspension See you tomorrow night on the field :notworthy Hope the days off gave you a needed rest and won't hinder your game :mis2
