Has their been any mention of what salary he is looking for in general or if he wants to join the Marlins? As I mentioned on the previous page, he earned over $6m last season.

I recall reading somewhere that he isn't expected to be ready by ST. I don't specifically remember July or August, however.

I read this also. I just hope we don't pay him to much if he comes.

According to an interview with him today in the Orlando Sentinel (hometown boy from Dr. Phillips HS), it sounds like his primary destination would be to return to Chicago. However, he made a comment that if the two sides couldn't meet together in a mutually beneficial deal, he wasn't going to "crawl on back there." Translation- "I'm still looking to get paid." While I wouldn't mind AJ catching for the Fish (since he's a proven ML'er which is an improvement over an injury-plauged platoon situation nay day of the week), his comments lead me to believe he's got an over-inflated view of his value and he's not willing to sign for less to be closer to home. I think we're better off lookign elsewhere for our catching situation.
