After reading through this game thread (and many other threads), I think it is safe to say we have different types of posters on here. To use a geeky analogy, we have the Star Trek (Original Crew) philosophy of posting:

1) The Captain Kirk Poster - Levelheaded, mixes equal opinion with facts, good for the occasional joke or sarcasm

2) The Spock Poster - Stats, stats, and nothing but stats plus in-depth analysis on everything, no sense of humor; often clashes with the McCoy type of poster

3) The McCoy Poster - Rarely uses stats, has plenty of opinions, makes posts based on observation over facts, and is not afraid to let emotions show while posting; old school sense of humor

4) The Mugatu Poster - Your basic troll

5) The Chekov Poster - Youthful presence on the boards who loves to crack jokes

6) The Scotty Poster - A poster from overseas

7) The Uhura Poster - A class of posters for any of the female persuasion who don't feel like being classified as a man

8) The Sulu Poster - Any posters who do not fall under any of the above

Which one best describes you?

I'd have to say McCoy

Would I be a Chekov Poster even though I'll be 30 years old in about 15 days?

15 days? ... June 3rd?

And I'm not sure. Cycle, which one describes me?!

Yep, June 3rd. Although Chekov really seems to describe me but really you can be a combination of them all. I'm not too fond of categorizing people or anything though. I'd ultimately say you're a combination of Captain Kirk and Chekov but again you can be a combination of many. Who do you think describes you?

I'm good with that combo-nation. :D

McCoy would probably be me, stats are helpful at times but they change, but observations are better imo. I do believe a combination of both makes baseball the best sport in the world.

I suppose you could say that about any sport, but it's something about baseball.

Good Post Cyggy!

I feel like a Chekov.

Also, this is a great post. You should make this a thread with a poll option imo.

What forum do I put this under? Outfield?

Well it does also pertain to how people post in the Marlins threads... and I would use a two word phrase that uses off but piss would not be my first choice; just ask Cee Lo

What ever happened to Nny?

He just shows up when somebody doesn't know how many options Burke Badenhop has left.

Says he hasn't posted since 07. Unfortunate. His statistical analysis were great.

Forget off?!? Why... Cyggy... that surely doesn't make any sense!

Most likely you will see the word I was referring to in some form during tonight's game thread

What ever happened to Marlins2003 and Capefish, they used to be everywhere back in the day. Ramp was another very knowledgeable poster that got the boot a few years ago.

Nny and MarlinsLou are without a doubt the most knowledgeable posters on this forum. Too bad we haven't heard much from them lately.

Yeah, nowadays you're just stuck with rotten people like myself.

I hadnt even joined in 2007. Nny has definately been on here in 2011 at some point.

Yeah, neither had I. Nny has definitely posted over the past 3-4 years. Several times.

Probably something you should bring up with Admin if his data isn't processing correctly.
