June 16, 201115 yr We need one more bat in this lineup. Basically, we need anything except for a SS, 1B, LF, RF and C. So we need a 2B, 3B or CF. Our middle-of-the-pack fielding is fine with me, honestly - which is why I would be happy if we got ourselves a good hitting 3B and shipped Matt Dominguez off for another piece.... And we need a solid pitcher, of course.

The best hope is for us to get Pujols and stick him at 3B, but what are the odds of us paying him AND convincing him to switch positions?

Some of the younger posters here may not appreciate the fact that I was a college freshman in 1969-70 and had first-hand experience with "hippies" and the like. And weed and the like. Great fun. It was essentially a whistle-blower board about layoffs and other corporate news, mostly high-tech related, mostly employees leaking what was really going on. Anyone could post as "." and many did. You never knew which dot was which. The ultimate in anonymity. This board didn't allow registration of a single or even two dots, hence "..." Long live punctuation. :lol Now, back to thinking like Loria. At 1-15 with another nasty losing streak going, he has to be more than slightly upset at the very large monkey wrench that's now been thrown into his carefully choreographed plans for selling tickets this year for next year. Something big is probably gonna happen, and probably sooner than later.
