7/22 Postgame

Featured Replies

Walking leadoff batters time and time again after tying up the game was annoying. The offense was incapable of getting that big inning, it was all about one run at a time and with the pitching tonight, that wasn't going to help. What is up with Logan lately? Will Volstad ever return to his '08 form? I don't think he will

More important than the game, the postgame interview was one of the best of all-time. Jack said sh*t on the air.

I need to watch more postgame coverage. I miss something from Jack all the time.

Damn it! I missed the postgame. We can't play worth a sh*t? Is that what he said. What happened to this team. Were they ever really good? Was before June a mirage?

I haven't been able to watch all the games so you guys tell me: are we just sucking more at home than on the road or is it overall the same, even on the road? Seems like we were doing ok until we got back to FL.

I can't wait to see what the FO is going to do to convince us that 2012 will be better

Maybe not blatantly ignore 4-5 spots on the opening day roster?

Hmmm, 1) fix 3B until Matt D shows he can hit for better average at AAA, 2) get a good CFer, 3) replace Buck and eat the remaining 2 years of his contract if possible, put Boner at 2nd and either trade Omar/send him to bench, 4 & 5) sign 2 really good starting pitchers and get rid of Volstad...also get rid of Wes Helms too

4-5 spots sounds about right

I hope the team takes a gamble and signs Vazquez for a 2 year deal if he can be good/decent like he has as of late.

Let Volstad go.

Trade Buck.

Start Petersen or let him be the 4th OF on bench.

Start Boner at 2nd, let Omar ride bench or trade Omar.

Trade Leo Nunez.

The thing is realistically aside from healthy players it won't be much different, but I suppose healthy players makes a difference.

I'm normally optimistic but I think this team will be in a funk for years, until we build up the farm system again.

Yet I still throw money at this team I figure since the logo and colors are going to change might as well bid on some teal hats.

Trade Buck.

Although I wish your quote would happen, realistically it's probably not going to. Hell Buck could be batting .090 with 2 HR's and 12 RBI's and the FO would find an excuse to his stupendous contract.

Every time Hayes plays he does something good I would rather develop from with in, this all goes back to buying players doesn't always work.

Fortunately it did twice with the Marlins, but then you look over at New York and see the long run of empty season in the first few years of the 21st century, it took them a while to get back to the top.

/rantoff

we have seemingly been in this position every year since 03. some teams in better positions than others but we still have the same types of loses, the same inconsistencies, and always fall short.

oh and about 100 blown saves along the way.

Logan's 0-fer Friday wasn't as bad as that stat shows. He was actually doing his job, aka being a team player. Moving guys over to 3rd and/or pushing runs across the plate from 3rd with less than 2 outs. Still, he is in a bit of a slump when it comes time for an AB that is for him, for lack of a better way to put that.

Gaby is more to look at. His numbers have been steadily falling for quite some time. Made a pretty nice defensive play and did get a dinger, but...

Will it even be THIS front office that makes those decisions ? I have been supportive of them in the past, but it looks like it might be time for some changes.

Be careful; I bought a 7 3/8 a couple years back on ebay and while the size tag says it's a 7 3/8, it's definitely NOT. Either a chinese knockoff or it was "second" quality overstock because of the improper sizing.

I'm a frequent EBAY user and always check out Feedback ratings, this guy has 100% and has over 5500 reviews, not to mention New Era is legit they have the best fitted hats.
