My newest article and it's the longest by far.

 

Everytime I post it here, the format gets screwed up and the picture takes up the entire page so just click the link and all will be good.

 

This one will probably cause a bit of controversy because I know people here have not been in favor of LoMo's actions. But this is just my point of view that takes a bit of a middle ground.

Good article. Like your points and understand LoMo may be moving a little fast on the off field area.

 

Yet I heard one source that LoMo left immediately the meeting after hearing the comment on his BA. He didn't wait for the meeting to end I heard. So if this is true, did LoMo actually get the whole explanation?? This interested party would like to know.

 

IF they went further about the "off field" stuff, then I still wonder about the union stuff. In particular about Wes leaving because he may be the smart one and being quiet about the whole thing.

There is no company that quivers today. It's a he said he said scenario that is weighing on me. Kindof tired of hearing about it. Both parties were wrong to some extent. The team was possibly anti-union (that's a shocker!) and LoMo walked out before the meeting was over? Yeah, that's pretty professional...sounds like two unprofessional babies if you ask me.

Because they were only keeping him on the team because he was a good influence. Once he started telling young players with mild attitude problems to exacerbate their attitude, he lost the one positive thing he had going for him.

solid article, most solid organizational wise so far. The only thing I would say as far as editing goes is to re-work the headline. You seem to justify the demotion thoroughly and the classless nature of firing is only noted in the closing paragraphs.

Watchout for time machine devices inadvertently mixing up your passive and active voice.

COMPLETELY agree with that. He was hanging on by a very thin thread and he goes ahead and instigates (or incites) rebellion from fellow teammates.

"Mild attitude problem"??? Is that what bashing your employer (the Mallee firing), bashing fellow employees (namely Hanley), and openly ridiculing your bosses (tape over the mouth on twitter) is called now? He was warned repeatedly and apparently thought he was above reproach. Final straw was throwing a tantrum because your charity event didn't come off the way you wanted it to. IMO, if you act like a child, you should be treated like a child.

 

Actually, Wes didn't do anything wrong here. Except maybe not wording things correctly, or not giving good, complete advice. Being the union rep (which is why LoMo went to him) he was correct in saying the photo op with season ticket holders wasn't required. BUT... If he didn't say it, then he should have included that it probably wasn't in LoMo's best interests to blow it off. History tells us that the FO is very concerned with players attending these type of functions. Remember someone getting blasted for not attending FanFest one year? That was before LoMo's time, but I do believe Wes was here. No idea if he did or didn't fill him in on that information. Wes isn't talking, and it wouldn't benefit LoMo to say he did.

Thanks! I knew I would be getting into trouble with the time travel stuff haha. But I wanted to make it interesting and give it some flare.

 

And naming articles is a lot harder than it seems. It was honestly the last thing I did. I know it doesn't really fit because I only got into the demotion toward the end. It should have been something more geared toward his season up to this point. Oh well. Live and learn :lol

 

I was just in such a rush to finish it while the story was still relevant. Next time I'll definitely send it your way for a look and some more advice. I really appreciate all this!

Petty? If that was the only thing he did then I would tend to agree. Seems more like it was like everything combined just culminated to this. And it has to be remembered that this FO is pretty set on kissing butts for season ticket holders. Ticking them off in any way is the last thing they want to do, and they make that very obvious. Some here will take that the wrong way, but it is a fact.

 

There was an article in Tuesday's PBP strictly about LoMo. Seems as if even some of the other players were telling him to tone it down and he just ignored them as well. Said he was more or less taunting the FO. Some pretty good quotes from Hawk in that article, too.
