how much more Wrigley is than the Pro of being a hitter's park?

thanks

When the wind blows out at wrigley, the difference is night and day, and wrigley is one of the 5 best hitters parks in MLB.

When the wind blows in, Lee would be better off back at the Pro.

When the wind is neutral, well Wrigley is significantly better for the hitter.

Does anyone remember the Cub's A Gon hitting home runs? Does anyone else remember Kerry Woods' blast? Need I say more?

Well let's see...

Pro Player Stadium: Best pitchers park in baseball (statistically)

I'd say anywhere is better for Derrek than PPS.

Wrigley is very middle of the pack. the only time you can say it's a real hitters park is in June, July, and the first weak of August. after that first week, the wind almost always blows in. it's middle of the pack. Lee should homer 35-40 times, but more importantly should have 40+ doubles.

Dimensions:

Left field - 355 feet

Left-center - 368 feet

Center field - 400 feet

Right-center - 368 feet

Right field - 353 feet

Best parks for pitchers - Camden Yards (Baltimore), Wrigley Field (Chicago NL), Commerica Park (Detroit), Pro Player Stadium (Florida), Dodgers Stadium (LA), Shea Stadium (NY-NL), Pac Bell Park (SF), Safeco Field (Mariners) - all of these fields have at least 5% fewer runs scored than league average

link Thank you Mr.Fish Fillet for pointing out that wrigley might not be D.Lee best friend after all.

link This dude has clearly never been to Wrigley in June, July, or most of August.

Say Bye-Bye to the Human Fan!!!!

Say Bye-Bye to the Human Fan!!!! Yes I have, I watched the playoffs.

Just saying, in June, July, and a good portion of August, you can often times hit a homer at wrigley just by getting a high fly ball into the jet stream and watching it carry out onto the streets packed with the wrigleyville drunks.

You clearly haven't seen Derrek Lee period.

I think playing in Wrigley is kind of captivating for a player too.

It's not like US Cellular field, where they draw 20,000 in the middle of a pennant race. It's packed all year. True fans. And if the CUbs are in it, which odds are, they will be, I'm sure Lee will get caught up in it, and his play will be affected.

Just like Aramis Ramirez got so much better after coming to the Cubs.

God knows how many pop flies at PPS would have been homers at Wrigley.

Derrek Lee isn't exactly a pressure performer.

I put it nicely.

US Cellular Field=20,000 fans who all give a **** about the game

Wrigley Field=40,000 people, maybe 5 people worthy of being called fans who give a **** about the game.

lol

Not pressure, but excitement. It's unrivaled.

No. Pressure. Don't get the two confused.

He's going to be expected to do a lot in ChiTown. That's called pressure, and Derrek Lee doesn't perform well under it (this coming from Lee's biggest fan here).

God knows how many pop flies at PPS would have been homers at Wrigley. from what i watched in the post season, about 15-20 of those are homers if the wind is blowing out in Wrigley.

There are just too many variables left undetermined to be able to decide how well Lee will do...

I'm wondering where they are going to bat him in the lineup though....
