November 19, 201114 yr Despite not being my usual type of game, since i have 2 weeks off work at Christmas I am very tempted to give Skyrim a try
November 19, 201114 yr Not your kind of game? You mean you walk around dressed up as Stone Cold, with wrestling championship belt and all, you're likely seen as the odd fellow in Scotland who loves American sports... But you wouldn't love to slay dragons, cast magic, kill vampires, and raid dungeons? I'm calling bulls***.

November 19, 201114 yr In person? Of course. In game? There's one mission so far that I've gotten drunk in and I ended up waking up in some temple in a distant city.
November 20, 201114 yr But you wouldn't love to slay dragons, cast magic, kill vampires, and raid dungeons? This is something I've done in Everquest since 2001. But, I guess it sucks. *shrug*
November 20, 201114 yr Yeah, they're totally the same game. I was pointing out those specific areas. I will admit, Elder Scrolls is a bit more interactive as far as what you can do with items and people and whatnot, plus better graphics, but I just enjoy Everquest a lot more. Plus I like playing with other people, so EQ suits my needs more than Elder Scrolls. I will try to pick up Skyrim at some point, it looked amazing.
November 20, 201114 yr The games have the same theme and they're both RPGs. Beyond that, they're not comparable. That's like saying "I don't understand why you don't like Duke Nukem? You like Call of Duty...".
November 20, 201114 yr I loved Duke Nukem. Don't care enough for [to play] Call of Duty. Does look good.

You like Call of Duty...". And besides, as I said, I was referencing to those specific things you pointed out. Dragons, spells, vampires, raiding. All those are in Everquest. That's all I was saying, bob.
November 20, 201114 yr So what's your point? I'm not allowed to dislike a game based on it's play? There's a difference between liking the theme and liking the game. Schnells over there implied that he didn't think that kinda game was for him. That has nothing to do with whether or not he acknowledges that it's a good or a bad game (as a whole, not as a personal opinion).
November 20, 201114 yr I still think you should give it a try at least before saying you don't like it. That's what I did with Runescape, which you claim to be a lot better just due to population.
November 20, 201114 yr That's clearly why I claimed it was better. Or rather, I was using the concept that it's popularity is probably an indicator of it being a better game. (there's a difference). And there you go again saying 'you need to try it'. I've seen enough of it. I don't like it. Just like the fact that I've never played WoW. I've seen enough of it. First hand visualization of the game. I've played games similar in style. But I have zero desire to play the game.
November 20, 201114 yr Seeing means nothing. You don't truly know if you like it or not until you're the one controlling the character. I thought I'd love to play guitar til I started trying [i know, it's a little different, but same context] then I realized it wasn't what I liked. I switched to drums *shrug*. I didn't think I'd like WoW either, but I gave it a try and I loved it. Try before saying nay.
November 20, 201114 yr That's stupid. Visually watching a game absolutely means something. The reason why you didn't think you'd like WoW is probably more because of the stereotype of that game and its players.
November 20, 201114 yr That has nothing to do with why I didn't think I'd like WoW. I had a lot of friends playing WoW at a time [my brother played as well], and I was too into Everquest to give it a try. Plus, I felt it was a bit of a rip of EQ. However, when I was taking a break from EQ, I gave WoW a try, and I really enjoyed it. Just do a trial account, see how you like it. If you don't like it throughout the trial, then fine, you genuinely don't like it, but without trying it is kinda ... eh. And just for grins, tell me exactly what you saw for Everquest, and when. Please.
November 20, 201114 yr For Christ's sake this is like... middle school we're talking about. I haven't touched an MMORPG since (because I have zero interest in them anymore). Seriously, stop spewing up a bunch of crap. I'm allowed to not like a game based on viewing it. It doesn't take a genius to be able to observe a game and analyze it. This is seriously like you telling me that because I haven't listened to an entire Nicki Minaj album I'm not allowed to say I don't like her. I've had a brief hearing of her and certainly have not seen it all, but I get the picture and I don't like it. End of story.

November 20, 201114 yr Picked up a 3DS last week as an early Christmas present. Currently playing Ocarina of Time 3D and Super Mario 3D Land.
November 22, 201114 yr Geemoney, if you're able to answer this - wasn't there a wrestler in the late 90s or maybe in 2000 in WCW or WWF that held 3 separate titles at one time? For some reason I remember one guy holding 3 titles for a couple months, 2 around the shoulders and one around his waist. If you can confirm or remember, that'd be awesome. I wanna say Chris Jericho, but do not remember.
