The Rams intend to hire Jon Gruden as their next head coach, sources tell the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Does Jon Gruden intend to accept their offer, though? I haven't seen this reported anywhere else.

They haven't even made him an offer yet, its a little premature to state he is going to coach the Rams. If the Chargers were smart, they'd offer him a job...

However, the NFC West is not a bad place to go. Profootball talk says they have the most cap room available and will probably have the second pick in the draft. Plus they have Sam Bradford.

I certainly appologize, the Rotoworld article came out at 8:18 am and I posted it 4 minutes later. Since it has been posted Rotoworld has clarified their comments. Please don't kill me for this. I just reported what I saw at the time. My bad.

No worries. Hopefully a mod changes the title.

BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!

And now there are reports saying they are going after Jeff Fisher.

I think when Spagnola gets fired, a team is going to get a very good defensive coordinator.

The Eagles, reportedly.

Oh man, that would be a great hire for the Eagles.

I'd have to imagine any coachless team would want Gruden,

Gruden would be no use in St Louis with Sam Bradford at the helm. He has no patience with young QBs.

He should let Ron Jaworski be the QB coach. This way, we won't ever have to listen to them on MNF again.

Jason la Canfora reported that Gruden isn't coaching in 2012. Take it for what it's worth.
