Hollyberry
Since I live in Orlando I am planning on attending games (vs. Marlins) in Viera, Kissimmee, Lakeland, and Orlando. If you know anything about the stadiums can you please answer the questions below. Where is the Marlins/visitors dugout (1st or 3rd baseline)? Where is the best place to get autographs/pictures? Where are the best seats? Any other info will be wonderful. Thanks.

Dr Beinfest
How constructive. I imagine with any of those fields you can just show up and force your way to a better seat .
fanofthefish
Been to all four, without a doubt the Tigers is the absolute worst for autographs, the run you out of the seats near the dugouts an hour before game time unless you've paid for the expensive box seats. By far the best is Houston, players walk right down the foul line to get on and off the field, bullpen is right by the stands (I've got several great pictures of pitchers). Disney is good for pictures for the bullpen you stand above it, but the players leave the field through a tunnel so they don't have to go near the stands unless they want to. The Nationals is pretty good, except they make you wait until an hour and a half before game time to let you in. They do let you stand in the camera wells for autographs and don't run you out until just before the National Anthem, but in years past I've done really well there, also you can stand above bullpens. As for dugouts all except Houston are on the 3b side. At Atlanta the seats are little more expensive but you don't have to pay for parking. The one good thing about the Tigers is they let you close to the bus as the players leave the stadium (thats my plan for this year) and you can get near the bus at Washington, there's a fence you can hand things over to players. Houston and Atlanta keep you well away from busses. I'll be at the Houston game for sure, will try to make at least one of the Washington games, will walk in after the 6th at Disney and just wait for the bus in Lakeland, hope to see you there! HawkFan
I personally would go with Viera as the best place for autographs. As fanofthefish stated, they let you go in the camera wells before hand; since it's field level, the players have a harder time avoiding eye contact. Plus, you don't have to reach over the dugout or rely on a 10-person-deep line of people on the ends to *hopefully* pass down your stuff. Finally, the visiting buses pull up right in front of the stadium outside the club house door. There are waist-high fences flanking the walkway, and they let people line up along both sides if the walkway. Players have to "walk the gauntlet" to get on the bus, thus even the biggest players stop to sign a few after the game. 2 years ago, I got every Marlin that was there (including Hanley, Gaby, Cogs and Maybin) except Stanton. All of the other facilities, the visiting buses are behind fences and the players get right on the bus. Plus, the Marlins have so much history there (as do I), I will always favor Viera. However, you can't go wrong ib Kissimme, either. That andthe their ticket prices are still some of the lowest in the Grapefruit League Too bad the best ST facilities for autos have long since closed, though. Dodgertown and Baseball City account for nearly a third of my 2,000 signatures over the years. Also, I say it every year, but there quite a few of us on this board that live in Central FL area; we need to get some meetups/watch parties going. Thanks for the info. I agree with the meetup/watch party - we gotta find out how many fish fans are in the area. I will definately attend.
