December 28, 201213 yr Well sorta, it was in the same newsgroup thread. Yeah that's right Usenet. I take you back to August 4th, 1998 when a thread was going on about us acquiring Kevin Orie. I said this: Orie has potential, but is having a disappointing season. Hopefully he can turn it around. Admin Das Texan or as he was known at the time Adam said this: Yeah i got away for a while. What do you think of the recent trades by the marlins. The Zeile one, and then the one with the cubs. I did not know about the cubs one saturday, but i think it may be turn out to be a good trade. I think that Orie has a tremendous upside, especilally since we really had no other third baseman. Write back with your comments.

We were on different software before then and it couldn't be converted over properly at the time. The site was just a news hub for it's first few years. We started having forums in 1997 or 1998 and the actual domain we use today came into play in 1999 I believe. There was also a point where the Marlins official forum became ours when the provider they used ended their contract. All of the official forum posts became under my control. We went thru phases but this has been our longest one thus far at over 10 years now.
