Matt Lindstrom could chisel stone with his fastball, but it was flat and he had no secondary pitches so he was often times quite awful. This is why people doubt Eovaldi's potential. His secondary pitches are not great and his 4 seamer has little movement(compared to his 2 seamer). I actually completely disagree, I think Eovaldi has pretty damn good stuff. Probably the best pure stuff in the rotation outside of Fernandez.

Probably the best pure stuff in the rotation outside of Fernandez. Thats fine. But when most projections have his ceiling as a back of the rotation guy or a bullpen arm, I find that troubling.
