The Fans Have Spoken!

Well, you can't count on a couple sports writers to pick who's best.

Dusty Baker brought home Manager of the Year in this years TYIB awards. McKeon may have one the big award, but Baker got the votes from the fans, edging out all managers in both leagues.

And your buddy Beckett? D-Train. Walloped by this years TYIB award winner for best pitcher, Mark Prior, the best young pitcher in baseball.

Just giving you a hard time. I mean, feel free to come back, but can we keep the personal insults down for a change?

The Cubs don't have real fans, they just have guys who like to go to Wrigley Field to drink beer and stare at the women in bikinis. It's cheaper than the combined price of a country club membership and going to a strip club.

Wrong Wrong Wrong. And just because our women have more class than the hoochies in Miami doesn't give you permission to be a hata.

Viva Chicago. Viva Wrigley. The place where hopes are born and dreams come to die. The epicenter of baseball and its mythology. The greatest franchise in the history of MLB. The greatest fans in the history of MLB. There's no other place on God's Earth.

I love turning on WGN to see a Cubs game, and seeing some poor fool in the stands still with a Shawon-O-Meter

Dusty Baker won it. THat's a joke. Prior had a great year but Schmidt beat him in almost category except for strikeouts. Also Pedro and Halladay were both more deserving.

wow, a contest to see which team has the most fans how fun.

that's what it is. I admit I voted for Joe Nathan over and over even though he didn't deserve (although he was more deserving than Donnelly. How could they not give it to Soriano or Cormier?)

1. Yankees

2. Giants

3. Dodgers

If you follow statistics, the Yankees are the best franchise, and the Cardinals have the greatest fans.

that's true- Cards have the best fans.

Giants fans have the best on the west coast (of course that's not saying anything- west coast fans SUCK)

The Cubs have the greatest fans in the worlds. Marlins fans don't have the right to say different.

Their stadium was completely empty till late in the season. And once you guys start to lose again, it will empty out...again.

I've been to about a dozen ballparks including wrigley, and the cardinals BY FAR have the best fans i've ever seen. Reds fans are up there on the list too. The White Sox have a very good fan base too, but our fanbase has a few idiots that ruin it for the good fans, and not enough people go to the games :( .

It isn't even a contest. The Cards have by far the best fans. Those people even give a nice round of applause when the opponent makes an awesome play, not to mention the place is always packed. Always.

reminder

Marlins 4, Cubs 3

I don't remember Cards fans throwing beer on opposing players and stealing foul balls. Yeah, they sound good to me.

Why do Cubs fans (mainly espo - rippy0 at least contributes) keep coming here to re-hash their misery? Wrigleyville still too crowded with people trying to jump off buildings?
