i think falling in love with the strikeout might do that sometimes. his stuff is so good that sometimes he could probably get a batter to hit a weak groundout rather than trying to make that perfect pitch and strike him out.

 

i don't know that he's doing that, but as a young guy in his position I'll bet it's hard to resist "i know can strike this guy out"
