2014 Lineup Projections

DeAza is probably available after the White Sox picked up Adam Eaton today. I bet he wouldn't cost much prospect wise and he would be an upgrade in LF. And he can hit at the top of the lineup.

We don't need help in the outfield...

Yep. 147 Ks and a .323 OBP just absolutely SCREAMS "lead off hitter."

You do know that Yelich is our LF, right?

Fine, and DeAza is a CF. He is not the same player than he was with the Marlins. Look up his stats, he would be a nice starting OF for the Fish.

But he hit 17 HR last season guyyysssssss. Isn't that all that matters?

He'd make a decent 4th OF.

If Ozuna is not in the Majors, Yelich is our CF, Ruggiano is our LF. Don't need de Aza. He sucks.

You guys crack me up. You guys would probably find a way to tell me Allen Craig of the Cardinals sucks.

Actually, we're waiting for you to tell us that cause he only hit 13 homers last year.

De Aza > Craig.

No that guy is the tits. I'd trade LoMo and his twitter account for him in a heartbeat

I want to play in fantasy league against Backin2008 next season.

1B - Mark Reynolds

2B - Rickie Weeks

SS - Yuniesky Betancourt

3B - Juan Francisco

LF - Alejandro De Aza

CF - TBA

RF - TBA

C - John Buck

That wouldn't be my team and I win a lot more of the leagues than I lose. No UZR, WAR, FANGRAPHS, OBP in Fantasy Baseball.

If the Marlins called the Cardinals about Craig, they would laugh and hang up.

OBP isn't some wild "stat geek" thing you know.

I know it isn't. I think it's useful for guys at the top of the lineup. The middle guys need to knock in runs, period.

DeAza wouldn't have to hit at the top of the lineup with the Marlins. They don't have too much power, if you have not figured that out.

Are you one of those guys that thinks Joey Votto should bat leadoff for the Reds? He gets on base quite a bit. Personally, I think he would be MUCH better if he swung the bat more.

I'm not sure how much power De Aza would "add," really.

Besides, power may be added just from our young guys alone. If Ozuna is up all year, I don't expect him to have the power outage struggles he had as bad as he did this past season. I could see him hitting close to 20, so there's some power right there. Yelich may hit about 10.
