2014 Lineup Projections

Any way, I think the Marlins should cast a wide net for a 3B. I think they should package up Ruggiano, Dobbs and Brantly to try to get a younger 3B that is blocked at the majors by a veteran.

Dobbs and Brantly together might be worth a small turd.

I agree. Probably have to throw in a pitcher to get anything done.

You must be really annoying when you play fantasy baseball.

I am and I'm good at it.

I can see the teams lining up for their chance to obtain Ruggiano, Dobbs, and Brantly!

You got me there. Gonna have to likely trade some pitching for a real 3B.

So, based on what we know...

1. Furcal

2. Saltalamacchia

3. Yelich

4. Stanton

5. Jones

6. Ozuna

7. Dietrich

8. Hechavarria

Could switch Salty and Ozuna. Thoughts?

Furcal should be at the bottom of the line up with Hechavarria. Ozuna and Dietrich should not be in the lineup. Stanton should be at third with Yelich at first.

No way I bat a lead footed catcher not named Joe Mauer second in the batting order. He should be batting 5th or 6th, where his power can be fully utilized. I like Yelich and Furcal being one and 2. Stanton should be batting 3rd to get extra ABs. Jones probably 4th when he plays. And please let the Marlins deal for a real 3B.

Yea, I just read that. With Hechavarria and who ever is playing third batting at the bottom. Yelich at second and Stanton at third. Followed by Salty, Ozuna, then Jones.

I could see it that way too. A lot of guys that could be moving parts in this lineup right now.

Whenever Fernandez pitches, lead him off.

But he can't look at his homers this year! Don't want to get thrown out of the game before his first pitch! LOL!

Yes he can, Brian McCann plays for the Yankees and he won't be there to hold Chris Johnson's hand.

Batting leadoff might get Fernandez about 100 ABs in 2014.

It's gonna be a long season

Since the Marlins didn't get a 3B in the Morrison trade, I hope they sign Chris Coghlan to put all of the hitters in their natural places.

If he uses Song of The South as his walk up again he'd be in contention for the batting title and even possibly a 2nd NL Rookie of the Year.

If Coghlan or Dietrich is manning 3rd for a significant amount of time this year we're screwed

I agree. They need a legit hitter to play 3B.

Oh that's why they'l be screwed!?!?:loll
