Benitez looks like he's been on a downward spiral since his days with the O's, especially in big game situations. but if we're able to get him at a descent price, why not? who wouldve thought Chad Fox would provide the performance he did last year

I have a feeling the pressure level in Florida will still be among the lowest in the game compared to the rest of baseball.

Fox won't make a good closer. However, he would be a good setup-man like he was last season.

Chad Fox should be our closer. He was big for us and I trust him more than Pooper Scooper (Looper).

I still remember when he hit the grand slam over the right field fence. He can pinch hit and everything. And he hasn't been pitching that bad out of the pen the past couple of years at all.

He's got some bat, he hits'em out during BP for fun. I'm one of the few yankee Hammond fans.

 

Anyway, benitez statistically has been a better regular season closer than Mariano Rivera since the year 2000. Kind of hurts those of us who use statistics to prove thing, because benitez ALWAYS blows it when it matters. I have never seen anything quite like it.

I dunno...better not be hammond, he just blew most of his career...IMHO, he's a no brainer trade if the Yanks are dumb enough (which they will be) to overload the pen by signing white.
