If the 'Stros really understood Aiken's injury they wouldn't have taken him 1st and he'd likely have fallen to the end of the first round. Rodon just signed recently for a boatload of money (about half a million more than Kolek signed for), I doubt the Marlins would've had him signed by now and the negotiations likely would've been super contentious.
