Don Kelly and Jordany Valdespin are both bad at baseball, compared to their peers. Don Kelly seems like a good human being and had a huge fan following in Detroit. Jordany Valdespin is human garbage and teammates hated him when he was a Met. Neither should really be on a Major League roster, but if one of them makes it for versatility reasons, why not the one who isn't a diarrhea person?

​Well said but the counter argument is that Valdespin was diarrhea in the Mets organization. Nothing has pointed to him being disliked in Miami. With the front office and coaching staff emphasizing the team first mentality the last couple of seasons, if Valdespin was clubhouse diarrhea here he'd already be gone especially considering how many options we have besides him.

​True, and I definitely believe a guy deserves a second chance, but either way: if Valdespin WAS diarrhea and now is a firm stool, at least Kelly seems to have always been a firm, comfortable BM. If we're going "team first" I think you'd want the "veteran presence" of a guy like Kelly.
