Not sure what was going on but I really like that Ramos and Cishek were utilizing change-ups. They were filthy tonight.

Have been saying that for as long as I can remember. Cishek tried incorporating a changeup before but eventually stopped using it and was sticking with only the fastball and slider. Problem is that if he can't locate the slider, he's in trouble.

Excellent pitch to keep guys guessing and he threw some really nice ones tonight. Could be a huge pitch for him.

Can be said about both Cishek and Ramos. Ramos' change was filthy last night. I sincerely hope they keep throwing those.

Everyone in the bullpen, honestly. Dunn I feel could benefit from a change-up. They're not difficult to throw at all.

Am I the only one who thinks Dee has been pretty lucky this season? He's won how many reviews to be safe at first? Beating out these infield hit's by fractions of an inch? Defenders not making plays? This is going to catch up to him, right?

I feel it's skill. Just me though. Should be the leader of the team if there is one.

Lucky, absolutely. Just wish he could get more lucky stealing bases, too. But that's on him more than any luck, really, he needs to learn how to get a good jump and cross over rather than push off the back foot.

That .414 BABIP ain't gonna stick around that's for sure, but I don't see why it won't be able to sit around .350 or so at this point. His 10% k rate is VERY promising (and if he could just get those walks up some yum yum yum).

There was an article on Dee Gordon a few months back that showed that he's really not an impatient hitter, but rather that he's being fed strikes at a much higher rate than most people.

I think he'll be as good as he was last year. For sure he'll come down from where he is now, but I don't think he's the garbage most people make him out to be.

Geeat win..happy that jared got the w After a strong performance. .sseems like we took advantage. Of every error and break

Besides the walks and shitty baserunning (the caught stealing), he's looking pretty nice. 25% LD%, 61% GB% (great cause of his speed), and only 12% flyball (He's yet to hit an infield fly).

The only troubling thing is he is swinging at 44% of pitches outside the zone so far (and 62% inside). Would love a little more patience with those balls outside the zone.

He's also grading really well defensivley at 2b. If he would just stop getting picked off/caught stealing...

But overall, Dee has been better than advertised I'd say.

He's been much better than I expected in all aspects except base stealing. He's actually been awful at it, for some reason. I'm hoping it's just some early season rust, otherwise Dee needs to stop running and just use his speed for infield singles and first to third stuff. Getting thrown out four times while only stealing seven bases is far from the effectiveness required to make it worth it. Keep in mind every time he is caught stealing he may as well not have made it on base.
