People aren't expecting cy young but I think it's reasonable to hope for a solid #4-5 starter

He's no better than Koehler who everybody hates right now.

So what to do if Cosart suck again ?

The point is that the alternative to someone who sucks shouldn't be to sign more people who suck. Lincecum has been a below average starter for a long time now.

Lince was sitting 90/91 in his showcase thing...I'd prob rather have a 91 mph throwing lince than TK right now

Lincecum sitting at 90 pretty much sucks. His avg. FB velocity from 2012-14 was 90, and he was terrible those years too. It was the beginning of his demise.

Ever since Lincecum's FB velocity went down to 90...

2012: 5.18 ERA, 90.4 mph

2013: 4.37 ERA, 90.2 mph

2014: 4.74 ERA, 89.6 mph

And then last year, his average velocity went all the way down to 87. It's cool that maybe he's regained a couple of ticks on the fastball, but, again, that's just the velocity he had when he started to suck.

So what to do if Cosart suck again ?

the question is if Cosart can't be fixed, because he will suck no matter what
