Marlins/Pirates series in P.R.

Featured Replies

I seriously considered the thought of going to PR for this series before I found out about this. Unfortunate. I'll be at one the games though now.

Surprised that no reply to this thread,I personally liked the idea of moving this series to Miami.

To be honest this doesn't affect me either way, I'll still watch the games but won't attend no matter where they are. Whatever they decide is best for the safety of all the people involved is fine by me. If Craig Breslow can be shipped to Puerto Rico for a month though, that probably would be best for everyone too.

I think their fear is exaggerated, but whatever. I wasn't going anyway. Sucks for anyone who booked a trip for it though.

Yes, lol. They really did, i think only 1 person has died from it here. Its not like everyone's dying because of Zika. The Olympics are gonna be celebrated in Brazil and they really have a serious issue of Zika.

Zika is absolutely getting blown out of proportion by our "healthcare professionals".  I go to Haiti every year, and it is very active there.  Most people that contract it feel like they have the flu for a couple weeks, then are fine.

I'm not saying that we want our whole team to get sick for a few weeks, but this is being treated like it's a death sentence.  It's not that big of a deal, unless you're pregnant, and even that's up for debate, depending on who you trust for medical insight.

You're in PR?

That's what I heard from my friend there. She said its no big deal and she goes out in public daily with "uncovered skin" which the fish players apparently were told not to do.

Exactly, just like everyone else does.

Officially relocated to Marlins Park

you mean relocated to Miami.

^ You're too fast.

Ha!

In these days, Zika virus is spreading in Puerto Rico. A pregnant woman who was infected that virus would give birth a baby who has extremely small head, its caused a early death. It would be danger to go to P.R. now.

Lol. Miami and a lot of places in the USA have more Zika cases than PR. I live here and the reality is nothing like that.

Marlins should open up a AAA team in Puerto Rico and send Craig Breslow there.

his spot is well secured for another month if he passes that 45 day clause. he's done real well lately. the BHS is really on Koehler and that's really for rotation to bullpen purposes. i'd say chris Johnson needs to use the BHS card soon.
