I've said this 100 times but Nicolino nibbles which is why he has always been successful in milb. In milb you have a bigger k zone and guys swinging more outside the zone. In mlb things are a lot different for a guy who can't get someone to swing and miss. 

 

Since his stuff is actually below average across the board except for his change up that he never throws, it really doesn't work in a mlb setting. His command/control is also nothing special 

 

 

Imagine if cheapskate asshole Loria woulda gone out and taken care of the holes in the rotation and bullpen before the season started
