Ramos to DL

Featured Replies

I think you guys are being a little hard on Cervenka. His numbers, besides some high walk totals, were very solid.

Span got a jam shot single that didn't leave the infield and Pagan looped one into right.

Its not like he was lighting the world on fire in Atlanta anyway

I didn't mind trying Cervenka because Dunn is unreliable and having two lefty options is better. That didn't mean he was great but I didn't mind the attempt.

You forgot the shot that Belt hit that almost went out. That was the nail in the coffin.

So is Ramos seriously injured or is this put him on the dl as a way to bring up fresh arms

I believe if not for the need for extra arms, they'd wait a few more days to see if he can return but they just don't have that luxury right now.

Which is why I did not mention it. He should have gotten Belt but the other two were tough luck.

Also, I still trust our bullpen overall. They've been a strong point this year. Stretches like this happen and they hurt but it's not like they've been this bad all season. They need to get their shit together quickly though.

Rodney's arrow got Ramos finally, but if he's not good in the 8th inning how could we expect him to close games ? and for the fresh arm I only need someone that could throw strikes.

We decided to send down Cervenka was because he still got the options, but I believe our other rookie relief pitchers also have options, too,so I think the main reason was his bad performance.

But we wouldn't have sent anyone down if we didn't need a fresh arm I bet

they probably realized his 89 mph fb doesnt work for getting Major league left handers out despite his massive sample size with the braves
