Another source links marlins to vlad

Featured Replies

This is from Berandino's article about the Encarnacion trade:

"Meanwhile, two sources close to Vladimir Guerrero predicted the free-agent outfielder would land with the Marlins. While Guerrero's asking price would seem to be far beyond the Marlins' reach, a high-ranking executive from another club said the Marlins have been asking around about his health and contract requirements."

I can't post the link but go to the sun-sentinel and read Berandino's article about the trade today.

The Baltimore Orioles have made their offer to Guerrero, but they were believed to be focusing more on shortstop Miguel Tejada and former Marlins catcher Pudge Rodriguez.

From Berardino's article

i think i need a new change of underwear

had some bad sausage?

im starting to be a bigger believer with every post.

well lets not overreact either, all it says is that they are trying to see what type of contract he might want and some sources predict he will land here, it doesnt say he shook hands with Beinfest and the paperwork is being drawn up.

i guess im ready for the thrashing im about to get

im a 100% vlad believer now and i hope that the marlins do sign him. although, i am sad that Encarnacion left (i really liked him) but we have to move on and we also have to sign vlad!

But that development may have enhanced the Marlins' chances of making a serious bid for Guerrero. One National League executive said the Marlins are definitely going to make a bid for his services, and Florida is said to be very high on Guerrero's preference list.

After the World Series, there was speculation that the Marlins may have slash payroll again, but after trading Derrek Lee, cutting Rodriguez loose, and trading Encarnacion today, Florida has freed up enough salary room to make a run at Guerrero. at least with a short-term offer.

Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria used to own the Expos, and he knows landing Guerrero could help convince the voters to build him a new stadium in Miami.

Baltimore Sun :lol

dont discount the Dodgers in the vlad war...they saved 15 mil/yr by dealing Brown, and there is talk about moving Green to 1st base and dealing LoDuca.

I didnt realize this was about Berardino's article - but I posted the whole thing in another thread. We capture Sadam Hussein, and now we may capture the Impaler...wow...

So, if Vald comes here, does that mean that he and Penny will kiss and make up?

:hug :thumbup

Penny and Vlad will make up because Jack will figure some humor into it like switching Penny's name with Guerrero's. :lol
