Back to Tropicaca Field as the visiting Miami Marlins try to split the "Worst State in America" series with the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays won the first two games at Marlins Park, with the Marlins slaughtering the Rays 10-6 in the first game in St. Pipi'sburg last night. Marlins ace Dan Straily takes the mound for the Fish with a 1-2 record and 4.15 ERA. Matt Andriese takes the mound for the Rays with a 1-1 record and a 3.86 ERA. Based on early season results, the Marlins are bad. The Rays are bad.

 

Tonight, they battle to see who is less bad.

There are plenty of reasons to have contempt for Florida, but worst state in America?  Not even close.  Also, the Marlins play in the morsel of the state that's relevant, so lighten the fuck up.  The "ace" Dan Straily bit was great, though.

That article cites a litany of national and statewide issue that happen to affect Miami.  My point was that it's the only socioeconomically relevant part of Florida.  It's being sabotaged in every way possible by statewide and federal government.  All of it is reparable, but I was speaking more to the idea that it's worth repairing.
