October 22, 20178 yr He was an old-school-type manager. Finally Nats had realized they could not win WS with him. Also he made some wrong decisions in short term series.
October 23, 20178 yr Seems like more successful managers are getting fired than ever. The trend is alarming and pretty stupid. The goal of a manager is to lead their team into the postseason. From there, the postseason is a crap shoot. Firing a manager for being eliminated in the playoffs is ridiculous. 9 managers of the 10 best teams every year will manage a team that gets eliminated from the playoffs.

October 31, 20178 yr eh, from what i hear, girardi and cash had major issues the last year or so. the clubhouse in boston didnt really like ferrell washington is a weird situation with managers.
