Vlad will sign with the O's tommorrow or Thursday. The Marlins refuse to go more than 2 years(I was also told 3 but no more) without it being tied into a stadium deal. Plus Vlad's back is a BIG concern, and with the O's the only team to go 5 and possible 6 years. He's going to take it. Vlad would have been a dumb move because of several reasons so I'm kinda glad he didn't sign with us.Don't get me wrong if he were to sign,I would be a very happy fan but in my opinion is better for the fish to spread the money not put it all in one pot for one player.

Brown/Vazquez/Mussina or Martinez/Schilling play in that division, and the Blue Jays won over 80 games last year, and they added pitching and kept around a lot of their team (I know Escobar left but he was kind of overrated as a #2). Orioles are spending all of their money this offseason on hitting, if you're going to buy a lot of stuff in bulk pitching should be the thing. For the money they're going to spend/waste on Vlad Tejada and Pudge they could have easily gotten Colon, Milwood and Maddux, and supposedly they're going to get Ponson regardless. Makes you think doesn't it, I'd take the pitching any day; look at the A's, a stacked line-up doesn't always do it for you...
