I was checking the MLB.com free agent tracker and I dont see a single RF left on the market that would fit our needs well in and around our price range...except Vlad.

Vlad would have been a dumb move because of several reasons so I'm kinda glad he didn't sign with us.Don't get me wrong if he were to sign,I would be a very happy fan but in my opinion is better for the fish to spread the money not put it all in one pot for one player.

How about Javy? I find it unlikely he'll repeat that sort of year though he might still be good. However, in a pitchers park, a do or die homer hitter might not be what is most cost effective. Get some relievers. If Castro isn't detained, he should be fine.

OK OK I'll answer it, I've been e-mail and e-mail on why 10%, well here you go its like this the O"s are playing a dangerous game...what game? the game of chicken. They know the Marlins can only offer 2 year deal anywhere between 13/15 million a year. They know Vlad is looking for a long term deal. That's what Baltimore has on the table, both Vlad's agents will be in Baltimore tommorrow to introduce Tejada, its expect that's where both the O's and Vlad's agent will finalize the deal. Fernando Cuza and Diego Benz Vlad's agent have the Marlins offer in there back pocket will they need it? if Vlad gets upset at the fact that O's don't move from there offer, is the only way I see him taken our deal. Will the O's bite or will Vlad? will see..AND YES I COULD BE WRONG....

When you are constantly switching between languages and everyone has always pronounced it with the 's' at the end, you stick the 's' in there instinctively. Its easier to undertand for vowels, but force of habit applies.

 

And I continue to be skeptical on Javi. Not for his numbers personally, but just that I think when he is secure his numbers will drop right back to earth. Plus, catchers need to play defense (hence why I do not like Mike Piazza at all). Javy's focal point isn't exactly defense anymore. I will be happier with a bat at a different position and a defensive catcher.

The Marlins refuse to go more than 2 years(I was also told 3 but no more) without it being tied into a stadium deal.

God Damn if we wouldve had our stadium by now we couldve had Vlad by now. The whole stadium deal is whats holding us back. And we are not even sure if the stadium deal is gonna go down.
