I'm no fan of Slater's but he has gotten some things right before so I dunno. Not everyone has to be pleasant to do their job well. I do agree he's pretty much nobody though.

OMG - this just brought me back. I remember the $5 "no block" when I was a kid going to Dolphins games. So funny - the residents outside yelling "Fie-dollah-no-block". Glad to see it doubled.....that is more than fair as it was $5 in the 80's!   

 

 

Slater is the only guy who will talk about the Marlins on the radio when theyre doing decent

 

 

The media needs to understand that they're not all-powerful. You CAN be denied access to things just because somebody feels like it.

Here's the Herald reporting on the orange jerseys going away and incorrectly giving Andy Slater the credit for the news even though Dave Van Horne said this was happening about a month ago. Perfect example of how misleading the media is in this day and age. They can't get their facts straight, it's like they choose not to do so. 

 

Also the article says the Marlins have been wearing the jerseys less and less since 2015 which is actually false and also misleading. The jerseys were always used as the Sunday home jerseys and were consistently that and only that from 2015-2017. The difference is that in 2013 and I believe for some of 2014, the orange jersey was occasionally used as a road alternate as well. That practice was ended in 2015. So it's not the that they have been moving away from the orange jerseys the last few years as much as they only wore them briefly as a road jersey and thus there was a period when it was worn more. 

 

 

Nice!  I am just so hopeful that this is the start of bringing the color scheme closer to what it once was. Put away the crayon box. While they are at it, 86 this phony "marlin thing" on the jersey as well......Let's bring this thing back to reality.
