Ellington optioned to AAA

thank god.  might be my least favorite pitcher on the team and thats a pretty high bar.

If they release the opening day roster they won't have anyone left to play.

I feel like I should have seen that coming.

I thought he was optioned down weeks ago. Or I guess he stunk so bad this spring that my mind had already eliminated him from the opening day roster. Kinda surprised he lasted this long before being cut.

You MIGHT see less once the season starts no guarantees with @SilverBullet1929

Joe Frisaro said Marlins might wait until Wednesday or even Thursday morning to finalize roster.

To answer your question for real no they have not. Still an open spot on the bench, still gotta make decisions on Realmuto and Riddle and then decide who replaces them if they aren't ready and still have to announce 4 to 5 bullpen spots. A lot to do and it sounds like they might really wait until late Wednesday if not early Thursday.

They keep serving you soft balls and you keep hitting them out of the park.   Lol
