You don't have to pay, but in reality you are going to be going against people who did pay sometimes and you'll be at an extreme disadvantage. For the offline stuff, absolutely no need to pay. That stacked lineup dominated me. He had gold and diamonds up and down the lineup and very good pitching as well. Can't imagine how much money he spent already.

But within a month, it evens out pretty fast and skill takes over above all. Admittedly if he still had golds in his lineup, he probably didn't spend that much - that's already my lineup too and I didn't really spend anything. The packs seemed to be juiced right now, which makes sense.

The packs seemed to be juiced right now, which makes sense. He had at least 3 diamonds in the lineup and I believe at least 2 on the pitching staff. They are smart to juice the packs. It is like how casinos allegedly let new gamblers win a little more often on the slot machines.
