Look, I don't know which of all y'all need to hear this, but here's the hard pill we need to swallow:

Magueris Sierra isn't a great hitter. I'm hopeful he'll continue to improve, but even despite this year's solid numbers, he's still got a career 61 wRC+. And in the month of August this year (which is 40 of his 44 PA), he's hit .242/.333/.303 (84 wRC+). That means his good numbers this year come mostly from a 2 for 4 game in July.

BUT he does seem to have good vision, decent bat speed, and obviously speed and defense for days. But let's all calm down on the "start Sierra every day" talk. We'd be giving him a full-time job based on what them brainy folks call "Small Sample Theater."
