As silly as that is, if we're sticking to it then Beltran shouldn't have been punished and he got shafted because Manfred called him out by name even though he didn't do the same to any other players. Real fishy move there. And Hinch and Cora were punished as managers because their crimes were as managers. Beltran could at the very least deserve a shot to prove himself as a manager as being a manager is completely independent from his involvement in the scandal.
