Nice for him but I actually wish he got another GM spot. I'm curious to see what he can do as the GM of another team.

I won't be surprised if he's only there a couple of years and gets picked up by another team as a GM.

 

Though I also thought Beinfest would get picked up at somepoint and he never did.

Well apparently the last fella to have it -- Chris Young -- went straight to becoming a GM. In fact, the MLB front office had two GMs come from their halls this offseason. Makes me suspect it's turning into something of a platform for folks hoping to make that jump.
