Not sure if it really is worse on the Marlins or it just always feels worse because we never have great depth either and it's not like someone on another team, of let's say, Coopers caliber, going on the IL is going to make the news. There's good players and then there's our own sub-category of "Miami good" players.

it's always going to seem worse when it is the team you root for because you know each player, so I think you're right. Jazz on the IL? That's a big deal, regardless of what team. But some people are all like "our starting catcher is injured too!" and like, sweetie, Jorge Alfaro wouldn't have even made the roster for most big league teams. Garrett Cooper and Corey Dickerson are probably bench bats or platoon options together on a good offense. A lot of teams have actual baseball players to call up to take their second baseman's place, we had to call up Isan Diaz.

A few years back I read some articles where conditioning coaches were discussing why there are so many strains/pulls, etc with today's athletes versus those of yesteryear that weren't as athletically freakish as today's and most of them seemed to agree that it has a lot to do with the added lean muscle mass that today's athletes focus on  and the fact that bodies have not evolved to the point where the connection points inside the bodies for the tendons and muscles can accommodate the added muscle so there's a lot more strain placed on the body and that's why you see soooo many strains and pulls that just never seem to fully heal.
