From an on-field perspective I’m sure he’s going to suck since the poor guy is running on fumes at this point. But definitely glad to see him end it where it all started and doing so with Yadi.

Last year he was still effective v lefties to an .932 OPS.

If he can come close to that still this year, it will be a nice signing on top of the sentimental factor.

yeah you’re right. I just feel that since he’s so close to 700 home runs he may end up in too many games just so he can try to get to that number in 2022 and not drag it out another season. Cause he’s definitely not gonna retire 10-12 HR’s away from 700.

MLB should let him use roids for this year only.

its pretty much well assumed he will see almost all his time v lefties.   The only time he probably faces righties is when a right handed reliever comes into a game after a lefty generally speaking.

He wont get 21 homers.

Marlins should take notes. This is how you play hardball. All the cardinals had to do was wait him out and he came crawling to them at their price. All it took was 10 years and an entanglement with LA for him to realize he was better off in St Louis.

see you in 2032 Nick Castellanos.
