Probably have to trade Coop or Aggy first to make room... oh wait, Coop will be on the IL pretty soon

Would happily trade either one

Anderson swings at anything and everything

He just lacks a true approach. Waving at breaking balls, late on fastballs. He’s in between and mind-f’d

Yep.  It's like he's in a fog

Sounds like every hitter on this team

Don’t get me started...this is what happens when you focus on “tools” instead of baseball players.

Look at Joey Wendles approach and ABs vs the rest of this team. He knows how to hit, gets the most of his talent. Everyone else is playing whiffleball

Like I see the Giants, they don’t have all world hitters a few good no great guys but some how always seem to come up with that much needed hit and ya see the marlins and it the complete opposite where they could hit to save the human race if it came down to it.

Go look at the 2020 marlins. Yes, small sample, I get it. But they won playing a certain type of baseball.

No, they weren’t talented enough to maintain it. But it was something they could’ve built upon. Instead they’re trying to outslug teams without a single .900+ ops player in the lineup

That year was fun because they were in it every day and were able to get those big hits

Current brand of marlins baseball

Really talented SP (and Elieser)

Worst defensive OF in baseball (in largest home park in MLB)

Lineup built to outslug teams (without a single +.900 ops player)

Bullpen built with ground ball pitchers and a lack of truly dominant backend guys.

That’s not a winning formula

They also ran the bases aggressively. They led the league in SB for most of the year. If you don’t have a ton of sluggers, that’s how you turn BB/singles into XBH.

Jazz and Marte put pitchers in a bad spot immediately. They also played phenomenal defense. We’ve went backwards

Gotta get on base to run the bases though.  And we seemingly can’t do that either.

We lost 6-2 to a team missing it's best player... hurray!!!

To be fair, we’re missing our best player as well. He’s playing in Pittsburgh

I'm already feeling jaded towards this season and it's only Game 4 😞

Same man, same.
